Sean Bulger is back with a new column in his bi-weekly look at issues of community and MMOs. This column focuses on player made content: what’s good, what’s bad.

As strange as it may seem to some, there are plenty of people out there who enjoy creating things by using parts of the game they play, or by creating something for the game. Even more people like to enjoy those creations - more so the videos in this day of age. This is also something that developers could take advantage of when trying to build a strong community.

Now that patch v2.4 has been released, arena tournament registrations are now be accepted. There is a brief announcement on the official site:

In preparation for the start of the 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament, registration is now open. The Arena Tournament focuses on 3-vs.-3 Arena competition, and participants will be given the chance to qualify for live tournaments with cash prizes. By registering, you will be granted access to our special tournament realms where you can customize your characters and battle with fellow players.
