Regions Level Page Updated [World of Warcraft]

Worldofwarcraft.com has updated it’s regions level page to include Northrend, the area to be introduced in the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The lowest level suggested in Northrend is 68-72 in the Borean Tundra, a contested area, while the highest areas are reserved for players at a suggested level 77-80.

This means that most of us won’t hit the higher areas for at least a few weeks. There will be someone, of course, who will hit the suggested level range in a couple of days. There’s always someone…


WotLK Shipping Fall-Winter 2008 [World of Warcraft]

Shacknews has posted a conversation with Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime in which he announces that WotLK will ship between October and December.

“We have said that it will be coming out this year,” Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime revealed in a conference call today. “I can tell you it’s not coming in the July to September quarter.”

Well, we kind of figured most of that. It’s early August, and unless the magic folks at Blizzard have conjured up time travel (though I wouldn’t put that entirely past them), we knew it wouldn’t be released in July. August was pretty much out of the picture too, considering that beta testing hasn’t been too extensive yet. But this announcement categorically rules out September, at least. My money would be on October, if I were a betting gal. It’s probably a good thing I’m not.
